Peotone Biddy Basketball

What is Biddy?

Biddy basketball is open to all children that reside in the Peotone School District in grades 2nd-8th.

The exception are the 7th and 8th grade boys that are on the junior high basketball team.

All teams are co-ed and divided into 3 groups:

College: 3rd and 4th graders

Pro: 5th and 6th graders

International: 7th and 8th graders

NEW for 2nd grade only:

This year all 2nd graders will follow a new instructional program. They will all practice together on Friday nights from 6-7:15pm. This will take the place of Saturday morning games. The first 45 minutes will be devoted to skills based instructional drills. The last 30 minutes will be scrimmages which parents are encouraged to attend. Teams for the scrimmages will be randomly selected by the instructors weekly. All players will have the same jersey color and will wear pinnies. The instructors will be on the court for teaching and refereeing and there will be no score keeping.

This is a recreational program and it is required that all children must play during the games. Referees and scorekeepers are often former Biddy players and current high school students. The goal is to build a sense of community as well as to further the development of the players' skills and sportsmanship.

Biddy basketball encourages the development of our youth by providing opportunities for athletic and personal growth. We seek to provide a safe, healthy, positive environment for the youth of our community to demonstrate sportsmanship and the development of life skills. Furthermore, we wish to provide youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball.

Registration Information

Registration is now open for the 2025-2026 season.

Payments and registration must be received no later than November 1st.

Without payment your child will be unable to participate.

If you have registered and not paid yet,

mail us a check or deliver it to a board member. Checks should be payable to Peotone Biddy Basketball and mailed to P.O. Box 594, Peotone, IL 60468 or delivered to a board member.

Please be sure to include your child(ren)'s name(s) and grade(s) with your payment.

Concession Stand Fee

Biddy Basketball has a $25 concession stand fee that is added to the cost of the family registration.

You can earn this fee back by working the concession stand for 1 hour, helping to clean up after the games, or coaching.

Once the signup form is available, it will be located below.

This is on a first come, first serve basis.

*Community Service Hours available, must provide own form for signature
