Peotone Biddy Basketball

What is Biddy?

Peotone Biddy Basketball is a recreational program open to children who reside in the Peotone School District in grades 2nd–8th**. Our goal is to provide a positive environment where young players can learn basketball fundamentals, develop skills and sportsmanship, and enjoy being part of a team.

**7th and 8th grade boys on the junior high basketball team are not eligible.

Grades 3–8: Practices begin the week of November 30. Teams practice one night per week, play Saturday games, and finish with a single-elimination tournament. Practices are at Connor Shaw or PES; games are at Connor Shaw.

2nd Grade: Instructional program begins Friday, December 4, from 6:00–7:15 PM at Connor Shaw. Players spend 45 minutes on skills and 30 minutes scrimmaging. No Saturday games. Scrimmage teams are randomly selected by instructors each week. Parents are encouraged to attend the scrimmage portion. Instructors are on the court to teach and referee, and there is no scorekeeping.

This is a recreational program and it is required that all children must play during the games. Referees and scorekeepers are often former Biddy players and current high school students. The goal is to build a sense of community as well as to further the development of the players' skills and sportsmanship.

Biddy basketball encourages the development of our youth by providing opportunities for athletic and personal growth. We seek to provide a safe, healthy, positive environment for the youth of our community to demonstrate sportsmanship and the development of life skills. Furthermore, we wish to provide youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball.

Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 season.

Registration & payment are ONLINE ONLY.

Payments and registration must be received no later than October 25th.
